Does anyone have a good source for the "grind to fit" rubber recoil pads? I recently bought two of the Hogue 00710 small pads from Amazon. It is a very good pad for the money but they are approx. $26.00 each (free shipping). I use to get them from Crosman for the Quest and Vantage much cheaper but they no longer sell them without the the stock. I have added the recoil pads to my Diana 34 and Chinese B-3, among others and recently to my Crosman 2200A. I like a long L.O.P. aside from the looks and no slip advantages of the pad. It also adds needed weight to the hollow stocked 2200A. Thanks in advance for your replies.

I would think any type of foam rubber could be used and cut to fit.
I think if I was going to add a butt pad, I would glue a piece of foam rubber of my choice to the butt stock and finish it off.

If you want a grind to fit pad Pachmayr makes very good ones Midway and other online retailers have them in many sizes. I did this one on my Disco custom walnut stock. It has a very good soft no slip design pattern. It was the Decelerator style. Not real cheap though. Numrich Gun Parts has a lot of cheaper ones but not all can grind to fit.

I put a Pachmyer F325 lined brown pad on my D280. It looks real nice on it but that particular pad is definitely not cheap. About $37 on Amazon.

I think brownells will be your best bet. Not sure if they're any cheaper, a recoil pad should be a one time purchase though, so buy a good one you'll be happy with, because it'll be a long time before you wear it out, a really long time.

I used Tourbon recoil pads on the stocks in the picture from ebay, about $8 a piece. They were not advertised as grind to fit but , I took about a half inch off of them all the way around with a Dremel and file then sanded with fine 220 grit paper. They turned out rather well.

Mike Melick at Flying Dragon had some pads available for the XS-25 and XS-28 rifles. They're too short for Diana rifles but may fit yours. Measure length and width of the butt of your gun then check with him.

If you don’t need much length increase, thinking the ˝” thick pads are about $19 at MidWay.
Pachmayr D200B-BL Decelerator Ultra Light Recoil Pad Grind to Fit 1/2 (midwayusa.com)
Even on stocks where I don’t want the added length, do appreciate the non slip nature of rubber...no so much on my shoulder, but when I set a rifle butt down for a moment….nice to not have it slide and fall clattering to the floor.
Do like the grind to fit...real PIA, usually end up screwing up and refinishing the stock to get aclose fit…but the end results are usually pretty good.
Do NOT really like white line spacers….do not really like red/brown recoil pads…..it’s an air gun, don’t really need them for recoil….
