will these scopes work on air rifles , I am looking at the Pinty 4-16x40 for my Gamo Swarm Fusion Gen II 10 shot mag, the factory Gamo 3-9x40 is about 13 inches long the pinty is 14.738 or 375 mm will this be too long for my Gen II Swarm Fusion, and what do you think about pinty scopes.
any and all information will help
Thank you

I have the Pinty 4-16 scope, and it’s my favorite scope. I have several Amazon scopes, 2 CVLife and the Pinty, I also have a basic Umarex scope. The Pinty is my favorite. The reticle is nice and thin, it holds zero, the turrets have locks instead of caps, I’m very happy with it. However, I’ve never put it on a break barrel. As you are probably aware, piston guns like break barrels have recoil that can break scopes. I don’t know if the size will be a problem on your rifle. So take my opinion for what it’s worth, I’ve never used a UTG, Hawk Centerpoint, so I don’t know how it compares, but I’m happy with my Pinty on my Gamo Urban.
You might also look at Hammers 4-12 magnum airgun scope, I haven’t used one, but they are made specifically for break barrels, and they aren’t a lot more money that the Pinty.

I have a Pinty but haven't used it on a a springer either. It's a decent scope though and I really like the reticule.

I have a couple Pinty Scopes never had one on a springer for any length of time, they are nice for the price. Hammers or CV live I have seen hold up on springers fairly well.
Most of my springers wear Leapers UTG Etched glass now.

I have a CvLife red dot reflex sight on my StormChaser and the $50-ish dollar compact 2.5-10x (mounds like an ACOG) scope on my .45 Challenger. I'm thinking about getting the Cv Life compact scope with rings for my StormChaser. My shooting has improved and the reflex sight has been holding me back since the dot is the size of my bulls eye on 4" targets at 25y range.

I've had 6 Pinty 4-16X40AO scopes, with twist lock turrets, and one older Pinty 6-24X50AO with the twist lock turrets (no longer available?). All have been on various springers/gas rams (ranging from 12 to 28fpe). Only one failed, and that was early on, in about 400-500 shots or so. I think that was just a defect. For a sub $100 optic, they are probably the best for the money.

I have 4 Pinty 4x16x40 scopes on various pcps. I have had pretty good luck with all of them. For the price the glass is decent and the mildot reticle is pretty good. I tried the CVlife 4x16 x40 scope and didn't like it as well. The mildots on the Pinty were a little smaller and didn't cover my targets at 50-100 yards. I do mostly target shooting and pesting so I hate a thick reticle.
If you want a even better budget scope my new favorite is the SVBONTY SV173 4x16x50. These scopes have a glass etched mildot reticle that are fine but not too fine. The glass is pretty good and they gather more light than the Pintys. The Pintys go for around 59.99. The SVBONY goes for about 100.00 and both can be purchased on Amazon.
