Is it OK to use "ignition silicone grease" from the auto parts store to lubricate my Hill MK3 pump?

30 weight silicone oil would be better. Silicone grease is not a good lubricant.

I have tons of Tim Hill's silicone grease. I use it for anything PCP. Except to refill the silicone lube on my EC-3000.

Silicone grease is useful as an assembly aid to help get static O-rings into place. It is too viscous to be a lubricant on dynamic O-rings.
Like mobilehomer said, silicone oil is what you want. A bottle
of 30W oil is about $5 on Amazon. Search “silicone shock oil 30W”
