I have just purchased a 125 sniper vortex in 22 cal looking for any experience or suggestions in bases rings scopes or pellet selection. Will be shooting 30-40 yards. I am also going to use it for pesting. Thank you in advance for any experience or suggestions.

I got a Hammers scope and used the UTG Offset mount on my Hatsan 125 .22. So far so good with that combo. As far as pellets, it does like the Crosman Premiers, and I also got some of the 18 gr Hatsan Vortex pellets. Because of where I shoot, I am a free-hand shooter. This thing is a beast, so shooting freehand, I'm not going to get those 3/4" groups everyone brags about. I used a sandbag rest to zero in scope, and I was getting 1" grps at about 17 yds.

I have run UTG scopes, Hammers, and CenterPoint on my Hatsans. All good choices. Right now my .22 Mod 125 is wearing a 4-16X40 CP which has held up well for the last two years but I did have to loc-tite all the fiddly little screws in the turrets to keep them from loosening due to vibration. My .25 caliber Mod 125 is wearing a Hammers magnum airgun scope and it is working great.
For rings I really like the heavy duty Leapers UTG QD rings.
Right now the best shooting pellets in my .22 are, in this order:
H&N Sniper Magnums, 17.9 grain. (Discontinued)
Air Arms Diabolo Field Heavy 18 grains
Air Arms Diabolo Field 16 grains
H&N Field Target Trophy 14.6 grains
Crosman CPHP’s 14.3 grains
Hope this helps!

I have several of these on my air cannons and not had any problems with them. As for pellets JSB's do well in mine, that's if you can find them in stock.

Thank you for the replies and help. Right now I am still shooting it with the iron sights and breaking it in. I have been using the hatsan vortex and the Norma 17 grain and the groups are starting to close up.

I'm using the SWFA SS TAC Medium height rings. Very solid mounting, and good for 1" or 30mm scope tubes.

Shown here with Hawke 3-12x44 scope.
