Hmmm... New scope for the R9?
« on: July 22, 2021, 05:47:30 PM »
Walmart has this Simmons pro target for like 50 bucks so I figured what the heck.

It's not bad , not bad at all..  though it's not equal to a 200$+ scope but for a fun backyard shooter it looking good .

It's a mil dot but the box shows truplex.

It's a 30mm tube so local rings were a no go.ordeted them.

How long it will last on a springer?????... Time will tell.

For $50 bucks so far so good.

Mounted it quick sighted at 20 then the pic shots were 40 yard wind from left to right. Cphp .177

Lol...wellllllll...

The replacement mount stop screw was so loose in it's threads I had to take pipe Teflon tape and wrap it like a mummy.

I think I'll be passing leapers stuff by from now.   Not impressed. They never replied to my email with pictures yet . It's been a week now?

You know I hope it holds up(scope).  I kinda like it.  Just shot some more with it at 40 trying to fine tune it in .  Between the heat, humidity, gnats, and cross wind  the house A.C and cold jug of tea calls to me hard.

I guess I could of posted it in bargn gate

I may of fixed it.  I'll know tomorrow.

Seen a set screw missing in the elevation turret and remembered something hitting my foot just as it started acting up.  So I got my magnet and found the set screw  put it in and seems fine on the table but untill I shoot it I don't know.    What few shots I toot near dark looked promising, but ran out of daylight..
