I can tell you the urban is 10x the gun that Maximus is.

Quote from: johnbrown on July 04, 2021, 09:07:06 PMI have purchased a Benjamin Maximus .177 and .22 from Walmart for about $110-$120 each in 2018-2019.They were accurate and very very loud within the 30-40 yards I shot them. They were rough and unregulated.I have returned them to Walmart and still regret that, mostly because I enjoy modding the 2240 platform. The Maximus uses a lot of the parts from the Crosman 2240//2250/2300/2400 platform. The Maximus is close to a 2260 on HPA.The main limitation of the 2240/2250/2400 platform is that they use CO2.Crosman should convert their 2240/2250/2400 platform to HPA.Now for less than $300-$350 I can buy much better PCPs than the Maximus and Fortitude that Crosman sells.I am looking at the Gamo Urban, Air Venturi Avenger and the Nova Liberty.I can tell you the urban is 10x the gun that Maximus is.

To put my money where my mouth is, here are two 50' targets I shot yesterday. Maximus hunter - paid about $160-165 delivered.Scope- Tasco Varmint 2.5-10 AO, $24 on Amazon. Cheap rings.LDC - Crosman shroud baffle in a piece of CF tube. About $9Rested on bags F&R on an MTC folding table, seated on a bucket.Pellets - CPHPs at $5.99 per 500. Unsorted, lubed with FP10.Trigger is not so great at this point but light and short.I need a lot of practice yet as I am pulling shots and for some reason (I shot left to right) the first target on each row was more open than the other bulls.Funny that all four bulls in the left column on 2nd target- 1st shot was bullseye and I pulled the second shot. Not too bad for a cheap gun, cheap pellets and everything else too.EDIT: oh yeah the CPHPs don't cut clean holes even on 100# card stock.
