I've got an 880 that I enjoy plinking with and small varmint control as well as squirrel hunting, but sometimes .177 isn't quite enough. What's the best cheap .22cal air rifle out there? It can be a pumper or a break action. We're talking less than $200. Does such a thing exist? I've seen a few Benjamin Prowlers come up for sale used locally for $100. Is that rifle worth it?
I'd recommend the Ruger Blawkhawk, that seems to be a fan favorite on Amazon at only $120. But that's in .177, not sure if .22 is as readily available.I don't know this for a fact, but I'm willing to bet that the XS25C recommended darn near the same rifle as the Ruger. Appearance-wise alone, its a deadringer for the Blawkhawk.
Airhawk and the XS25 are the same gun. Ruger is in just .117. XS25 can be had in .22
Walther Parrus for $150 is a pretty good deal.
