B26 Crow
« on: July 07, 2010, 12:54:30 PM »
The night patrol hunt was a no show for critters so I headed back out to see if I could pick off a G-hog or Squirrel. I was going back and forth from the wood's to the edge of the field when I glanced up to get a look at a old widow maker tree and there at the top was a crow. He was perched at the top about forty feet up and hadn't even noticed me below. The cross hair were planted on center mass and the Predator released. "THWACK" followed by a black mass falling lifelessly from the limb. He hit several limbs on the way down but was DOA when he hit the dirt. The temp's were starting to climb already so I snapped several pic's and hauled the Crow and myself out of there. I placed out back of my place for the local stray's, just checked and the Crow is already gone.

Nice bird, wish they would just come a little closer to my home so I could get the dozen or so that like to hang around.

Nice big crow Ed and super pics!!  40ft within a crow?  Wow, I guess you fooled her with your camo outfit and camo gun.  It is nearly impossible to get within 40ft of a crow, unless they are deaf or blind, hehe.

You are drowning in Zen lately, keep it up buddy!  :D
