Title: DIANA SKYHAWK
Post by: AirGoon on September 14, 2021, 10:43:24 PM
Does anyone know why the Diana Skyhawk has vanished from shelves? Will it return or has it been discontinued?

The Skyhawk seems oddly absent from US shops.  If you are keen, this is the same airgun as the Artemis P15.  Still avilable from Krale:  https://www.krale.shop/en/artemis-p15/ (https://www.krale.shop/en/artemis-p15/)

It's because of all the "issues" they had. Most (except the guns given to reviewers) had barrel issues. It was a lottery. To pay $600 or $700 for a barrel lottery was a bit more then most would pay.

Notice the restriction on the website. I noticed the same yesterday when looking at a hw97k. Why are they putting the screws to the United States.  The one thing I dislike the most about this hobby is the limited selection of guns built here in the US.

Try this "/us/" link instead:  https://www.krale.shop/us/artemis-p15/ (https://www.krale.shop/us/artemis-p15/)

I have bought 6 airguns from Krale.  They need proof that you are over 18, your CC number and your deliver address.  Not much of a restriction.

Thanks for the links. They explain everything I needed to know!
The Artemis looks like a good alternative but not @@@ good looking as the Skyhawk.
I think I'll still try it.

So German Sports Guns owns Diana these days and the Skyhawk (beech, synthetic, laminate) is still listed on their website.

https://www.german-sport-guns.com/shop/de/Diana-Skyhawk-Laminated_1810079 (https://www.german-sport-guns.com/shop/de/Diana-Skyhawk-Laminated_1810079)

Though the laminate stock version is unfortunately not availabe.

The beech version is though.

So it seems the laminate Skyhawk is not obsolete fortunately.

Good find, Rudy

This air rifle is restricted to 5.5 FPE, like all German airguns sold without firearm licenses.  How to open it up to full power may be simple, but that is something that will need to be factored in.

Obviously it is. But I mean to say, this is the GSG site and the Skyhawk is still listed on it.

Rudy,

It is "available", if they will let you place an order.  More specifically, it is available, if they ship you one after you place an order.

It is not obvious to me how to place a Skyhawk in my "shopping cart" from that link.  Not that I want to go all the way, but there is a point where "in stock" will often flip to "out", if you try to buy something.

Let me be more specific then  :D

The fact that the Skyhawk is still listed on GSG's site (the owner of the Diana brand, remember), means the Skyhawk is not discontinued. This was the question from DaveState.

Which means you can write an email to your preferred webshop and ask them to order one for you.

Rudy,

That is a reasonable assumption, worth a try.  At worst, they might say their website needs to be updated, but nothing will be lost in the attempt.  Assuming they reply to an email from someone who wants to buy one airgun...

They may just be discontinued here in the states.  I called all of the main dealers looking for another stock (PA, AGD, Baker Airguns, and AoA), and they all said that it had been discontinued.
