Feel lucky it's only air guns by you. Here in the USA everything is over priced...but people keep buyin.Don't get it.
Must be a sign of old age and not keeping up with the times but airgun prices are ridiculous here . Thanks to the Police we can not import airpistols without a police permit . Their gun administration procedures can only be viewed as deliberately obstructive. Last I looked a second hand HW45 advertised for $2500. Last time I went to Dead Eye Dicks he had New HW50 for $650 n-z. Yesterday I went to Hunting and fishing in Palmerston North. A new HW50 on the rack for $945. My Scotish ancestry says that an HW50 is not worth that....You can buy a nice .22lr for much less than that but then you have to engage with the obstructive Police licensing regime My recent purchase of a Umarex Octane turned out to be a very good move.
I just hope people don't start committing crimes with spoons or we'll all be eating with our fingers.

Yes you are correct that the police enforce the laws made by politicians but we have a situation whereby the police are responsible for the criminal part of the arms act and the administrative part as well . That gives them the opportunity to drag the chain . Two years wait to get a firearms license after paying the fee and passing all the relevant tests is unacceptable.Getting too close to politics so enough said.
