No any intentional dieseling here, but surprised. A drop of Chamber oil is recommended by many manufacturers and I did not expect any dieseling. So the question is how to properly lube the piston without causing dieseling, krytox?
Paul you got a good one. mine shoots CMHP 14.4gr only at 920. but pretty accurate so I will not clean it.I will watch the speed drop for lubing the chamber. not sure if honking applies still.
Paul, your numbers look great. Enjoy that rifle!

At first I thought I got one that was a little on the slower end, but after much reading on forums it appears I'm quite the lucky one. One of the first energy tests I did was shoot at a 2x4 at about 20 yards; penetration was sitting at just about an inch. She's definitely a thumper! In regards to accuracy and cleaning, try running a couple of patches through the barrel. My gun was odd in that when shooting the Domes, accuracy did not seem to be affected; however, when shooting the Sniper Mags (which were one of my most accurate rounds)...windage was waaay off. After cleaning the barrel, the accuracy went back to normal and velocity numbers are starting to get back to normal too. Remember...not too much when you get the honk. Just a drop or two at most.

Most likely I will be using Krytox so dieseling should be gone. Thanks for the pellet info. CMHP is the only one I am shooting so far. It is pretty accurate, usually less than 0.5" from 17 yards with front on sandbag and I am shouldering the stock, so I know some of the variations were due to my instability. I will try other pellets when I felt I am in a grove.I will try to clean the barrel. I use Kroil oil usually though I do have a few other ones like EWL and froglube.
More numbers for a same rifle. (Rifle not run in yet, less then 100 pellets shot). Barrel clean and deconserved before first use, to avoid excessive dieseling.PelletJSB Exact Jumbo Heavy .22 ,18.13 gr.Muzzle speed: 885 fpsBC: 0.035Muzzle speed and BC verified by comparing POI from Hawke ChairGun app with actual POI.Groups (10 pellets):1" at 27 yards3" at 54 yards6" at 110 yards.Note that groups might be better if I am better shooter.
