Title: Beeman P17 de-burring photos/video?
Post by: rh2y on September 26, 2018, 09:57:37 PM
Does anyone have a link to some good photos or video of de-burring the air inlet hole on a Beeman P17? My brother-in-law is looking to pick one up, and if someone has a link to some good photos or video of this procedure, that would save me the time of making a video of my own.

Thanks!

Russ

Haven't seen any.  Might be good to have one posted, should have done it myself but I have enough problems just getting a picture of something.  I'll suggest getting a small wooden dowel and rounding the end a bit to glue a piece of fine sandpaper onto for working that area-worked well for mine.

Guess maybe I'll have to make a video of it. Is that a good excuse to buy another P17? :-)

I deburred mine following instructions from "somewhere".  I don't remember where but it had to do with swing the piston / cylinder upward to gain access.  If you go to You Tube you'll find how to tear it down that far.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npFo4J4qRvE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npFo4J4qRvE)
