I've been away from GTA for at least 3 years so please pardon my ignorance, but the bwalton I recall from the forums here was a pretty nice guy and a very active member of the forums. I never met him face to face and never did business with him so what little I knew about him was through the forums. Is this the same guy and, if so, what happened? Probably should post privately through messages rather than publicly here.
Which is why I deal with larger, established companies when buying my gear. Haven't used a tuner yet, so I'll see how that goes when the time comes, but low cost won't be a factor when it does. It's good that folks get the word out about these flakes.

There are a LOT of very decent and extremely knowledgeable people out there who are smaller companies or individuals who are very good and honest. There will always be a bad apple. And if you look into the past, Walton USED to be good. And YES, GTA members keep us informed if something is foul somewhere, which brings it to everybody's attention, INCLUDING the person being mentioned.
Vance, I get what you are saying. In the "good old days", when airgunning was a bit more obscure, the community was small enough you kind of knew the names. Now there's so many scammers I don't know if I would buy unless I absolutely knew the person. Even then I've been burned by 3 or 4 "solid rep" people on the forums. Now I don't know if I'd throw down $1000 for a used gun from private sale even with the protection of PayPal. Just too much hassle. And yeah risking <$100 is a maybe but more I'd think hard about it. Caveat emptor right?
Not sure about mail fraud, but it is fraud. I have a physical address for Baxter and a slew of text messages and a few emails from him. I still have not received product or a refund. Several times a week he sends me a text with an excuse, even though he has printed a shipping label which is now several weeks old. The guy is a fraudster. He’s not getting away with taking my Money or playing me a fool. He will soon be served with papers for theft/fraud.
