Steve, do you have to cock the rifle before you pump it up?
It makes sense to have a heavier hammer spring to overcome higher valve pressure at 14 pumps.

Heavier hammer spring, lighter trigger, also the forearm may be pinned or bonded to the pump lever.
Maybe epoxy? Tim Mac does something where he belt and suspenders the wood to the lever, to stiffen the lever and prevent the wood from splitting.Maybe you can call him with SN of gun?If you pump it 10x, and the shot has some serious bark, with very little to no retained air, someone’s been through it.

I’m getting over 13 fpe there and that’s enough to hunt if I want. I’m a backyard shooter at 3 to 4. Serious bark in the backyard is not neighbor friendly lol. Also the stock end plug worries me that going crazy with pumps just to do it makes no sense.

You can also tell by looking at the pellet probe, Tim does some exotic turning on his and there isn't a diameter that is any larger than it needs to be. The standards are just a straight pin. Regards, Tom
Simple test, pump 10~11 times shoot, cock it again and pull the trigger, if no air comes out then it has been worked, if it still has air it still may have been worked just not steroided...
