Cajun sausage alfredo then a coma for a while...
Quote from: Rabbit\Squirrel Killer on February 23, 2021, 11:04:07 PMBUT, my burrito was made with Sundays Taco leftover meat, beans and the side rice. That's got to count somewhat. We grilled our soft corn tortillas in little avocado oil for the "Street Tacos" we had Sunday. They end up browned but soft but don't fall apart. They were authentic Mexican Style the same as my Son-in-law's Mexican Catering "World Famous Tacos" fixes them. Still looking the graphics on that taco truck, Dan! Very zombiesque!

Very zombiesque! The trailer is still wrapped but he had it removed from the S.U.V. after almost three years. They are in high demand in the area. Last year was tough with Covid restrictions, but they still had enough small events and drop offs to pay the bills. His family has been in the catering business for years and swap/supply employees as needed. It works out great for all of them to have enough help when they need extra.

Not tonight... but prepping for lunch to feed my crew tomorrow.2" smoked pork chops and a half dozen 'taters quartered into the smokey broth set on low in the crock pot. 5 chops, 3 maint guys , me, and the Plant President.THAT should win me some "Brownie Points" below and above.
I have been craving some good pizza so, tonight was a wood fired prosciutto and arugula pizza.
Few weeks ago while shopping I lucked into two sausage bargains that had been priced down at the local grocery. One of them was a 14 oz pork/venison linked priced at $1.50 and the other was a 36 oz pork & beef/jalapeno link priced at $2.50.The 36 oz link is smoking merrily away atm. I put a couple of soaked hickory chunks on the coals. I have my doubts about this type of sausage. I've never tried jalapeno sausage before. I do like spicy sausage and used to make my own using venison and pork butts. I used red pepper and garlic to flavor them.
The plan tonight was steak and cheese with onions, peppers, and mushrooms subs. However, since we have too much sliced bread(Panera honey wheat) in the house, I'd decided to make steak and cheese clubs instead. Tasted just fine!Washed it down with a new beer I'd picked up today: Natural Ice. Pretty good, and a bargain at $17 for 30 cans!

The last 12 pack of cans that ended up in my back seat (vendor mistake),.. I had 1 sip of the first two cans. Nope. The other 10 got poured out. Glass only.
Linguine alfredo with a can of sliced mushrooms, a table spoon of minced garlic, ton of black pepper and a dash of pink himalayan salt... Topped with parmesan cheese...
