I traded in a 1971 corvette for a truck. Corvette blew up right after they sold it to someone else. Seems Chevy put one of the rods in backwards when they built it. How that car lasted 10 years with it like that....... It had a 454.
Gil, I always thought you were a beater truck with moonshine under the seat type guy.

Heck, I even considered doing a little "lubing" to myself today.... got the Flash out and even got through 2 fills on it..... Enter Betty Lou..... complaining about the yard needing mowed. I have know idea why, I can still see the sky over top of it. That's when it all went to h3ll in a handbasket...The mower wouldn't start.... crankety crankey crankety... no start. Anxiety and frustration set in.. I don't have the money for a new mower. So I came in and sat down in IT for a bit.I went back out and started diagnosis....Spark.. check.Gas.. check.Pulled the hose off the carb side of the fuel pump and cranked it... dry as a bone. Fuel filter plugged up. Changed that out, cranked it and it fired right up.So now I'm going to pull the fuel tank and flush it out but the important thing is.... Betty Lou is happy now.Back to airguns. Ok, the mower started did the lawn get mowed? 😜 I'm just channeling BL here.🤣🤣Yes it did... under the watchful eye. 😂😂😂And so it begins. The mowing.. . . . . . . But not here. I gaze across the verdant sandspurs and the waving crabgrass, dotted with clumps of wild onion and dandelion and think. . . . . . What's the point? It will only grow back and at least it hides the junk appliances and rubbish that litters the yard. At some point the memsahib will decide that mowing is in order. She will cruise around the yard until she decides it's done, flinging scrap metal, broken glass, rocks, and the odd golf ball in all directions. I will take cover in the man shed.Last time I used my 21' walk behind I "found" my old power steering gear box from my '69 GMC next to the back fence behind my shed and carport in the tall weeds. Now that mower has a bent crankshaft and bad vibration, I am sure it will blow up soon. :'( that was an old Ryobi/Honda mower that ran perfect every time. :'( You found your carport and steering box in the tall weeds?? How tall were the weeds and wouldn't they be called trees instead? 😜
