..love the feel of the Summit stock. Although a shiny, you can hit it with Scotchbrite or steel wool to knock the luster down...Something about that stock just feels like a high dollar pb gun to me...Dave
Thanks to everyone for their replies. I do like the summit stock. I have tried to order a summit stock from crosman several times in the last 3-4 months to refinish, but I am always told they are on order. from reading other posts it seems they sell out very quickly. I was able to get one summit stock from crosman that was part of a warranty return, but the stock itself was so twisted and warped it was unusable. the steel wool/minwax poly idea sounds much easier and more cost effective than a total refinish and sounds like a good idea. I will probably just have to call crosman daily until the stocks arrive.
Anybody know if the summit stock will fit an NPXL? I want to get something without a thunbhole but don't want to be into it for big dollars or try to make my own. If it is an easy swap it is definitely something I would do. ThanksJeff
Unfortunately no, the XL will not fit the Summit stock. I'd like to find one for my XL also. I'm guessing I'll have to follow Howie's instructions and just hand carve my own.Quote from: Gixxer340 on January 26, 2012, 12:55:45 PMAnybody know if the summit stock will fit an NPXL?
