I practiced with the 853 for the Casual Match, and it was not a good day. I was forcefully passing gas just to get an "X". "10s" were rare and 8s and 9s were plentiful. I just didn't feel it. It was windy (gust to 45mph) but I can't claim that as an excuse seeing that the back yard is mostly protected from the wind.I didn't have it and that's that. Ron
You practiced and pellets are cheap today was a good day. Looking at your past targets I'm sure those 8s and 9s were one ragged hole. Keep shooting and stay safe :-)
I've been treating the stock of my 1st model Crosman 1400 (Stubby) with my traditional stock mixture for about two weeks now. I give it a fresh coat every couple of days and the antique Elm has finally stopped sucking up the Bee's wax, Linseed oil, and Turpentine. I buffed it with a Chamois tonight and for the first time I'm satisfied with the finish.
