The 1st Turkish walnut stock I received from PA had that issue.

What did you do?It had dings and other issues so it was sent back for exchange. The replacement trigger screw is tight.If I recall, the screw seemed a little too long, extending just above the wood. I suspected, but didn't verify, that it could have been pushed on by the trigger assy, if you were trying to get the stock lug very tight. I would try glued in pieces of toothpicks or other wood, into the screw hole and find a small washer if your screw seems too long. PS: Yours looks like it maybe beyond the toothpick fix.
Maybe try wood/carpenter's glue and a golf tee?? Glue it in, let it set, cut off the excess. Works for fixing stripped holes for door hinge plate mounting screws.
On my replacement TW stock, I measure 0.33" for the ledge that the screw goes through. If you still need more beech or syn measurements, can get them latter this afternoon.
