Air Gun Gate / Re: So.....what did you shoot today?« Last post by 2A Georgia on Today at 07:13:43 PM »In order
AEA Challenger 304 (posted in Newby to Casting) trying Powder Coated slugs SPA800r gave the BSA 2X20 a second chance after remounting it. Much better at 5-7M but off the circle sticker at 15M pulled and boxed for return Romeo5 in route. Notos sighted in with JSB 18s and tried the NOE217RF19.3s (posted in Newby to Casting). 3
Boolit and Pellet Casting / Re: Newby on the block... well, to casting anyways.« Last post by 2A Georgia on Today at 07:08:04 PM »Sighted in the Notos with JSB 18s last row I'd say is zeroed. Then went back to the NOE217RF. Still getting flyers so back down the rabbit hole gonna re-clean the mold and continue to work on technique, temperature control and QA/QC inspection. The gauntlet has been thrown down

Back Room / Re: So if you didn't do anything airgun related what did you do today?« Last post by Back_Roads on Today at 07:07:54 PM » Oven is removed, the space will be filled with 2 smaller ovens to give more baking options.
Prior to finishing the removal, I had a crew of 6 help pick up 3 ton of paver bricks that were donated by a neighbor on the lake, about a mile trip down a dead end. Bricks had to be lifted from their placement, and palleted. PS I did no heavy lifting, I used the Bobcat 5
Back Room / Re: It’s all a matter of perspective! Picture/photography thread« Last post by Xraycer on Today at 07:02:59 PM »Haven't picked it up in awhile. I'm sure I'll get back into again at some point. It's just been beautiful outside, so taking advantage of it until those biting bugs come back.My new "hobby": axe throwing. 6
Boolit and Pellet Casting / Re: Newby on the block... well, to casting anyways.« Last post by 2A Georgia on Today at 07:02:25 PM »Back to the NOE68 Sunny today so instead of waiting for LGR and 24yds I shot the Powder Coated slugs at 14.7yds. Group on the left calipered at .303 and the vertical line on the right is the .304 and larger. I'm going to aggressively re-clean all the molds and try some NOE68 with 2 coats of HF PC and see what diameter they come out. Looks like the AG likes .304 Powder Coated and back to tweaking the fill pressure to tighten the ES....

Air Gun Gate / Re: So, where exactly IS the gas ram in this picture?« Last post by mikeyb on Today at 07:00:00 PM »I am VERY familiar with Hatsan breakbarrels in general and that rifle specifically. Sorry to be blunt but that guy is either a crook or an ID 10T!
I hope the "piston" and the "Vortex air spring" are still inside the compression tube or you don't have all the parts. Edit1.. now i see your 2nd photo. All parts are there! I can break down, clean, deburr, relube, install a new piston seal, and reassemble that rifle in under 45 minutes ... at a relaxed pace! Rebuilding the Vortex air spring by itself takes me about an hour if i have the o-rings. I am sad looking at your photo. I can only hope that repair guy can LEARN to do better :-( Edit2... I'm still a Hatsan fan but I'm really VERY disappointed in the reliability of their Vortex air spring. I'm no longer resealing my leaky Vortex air springs. I've ordered parts to change the rifles back to the more reliable coil springs. 8

PCP/CO2/HPA Air Gun Gates "The Darkside" / Re: .25 Avenger revisit.« Last post by avator on Today at 06:50:25 PM »I'm out to 45 yds. That's what I have inside the fenced area. I can go out beyond 100yds but I don't want to set targets in the woods.I shot the remaining yardsale stickers off the 45yd. target and painted it red (I'm out of black paint). I have lime green yardsale stickers to put on it.Lime green on red is going to play tricks on your eyes :O LOL It gets boring then move the targets farther back, but not too far you miss "Boringly accurate" was a bit of sarcasm. Who could ever get bored with consistent 1/2" groups at 45 yds ? What I need to do is put a variety of different types of reactive targets at 45 yds. Boringly accurate is alot better than the alternative. |
