Light?.... That is a pretty hefty SD, at 0.389.... I know they are unlikely to get the kind of energy you were getting with your bullets designed for Helium.... but I looked back through the Project Fury thread and never saw anything above 700 fps using air (except for Sabots).... Perhaps they simply want higher velocities without using Helium?....Bob
My apologies, Marco, I didn't see that in your thread, I guess I missed that.... but 117 g. is only 6% heavier than his bullets.... If you shot his bullets, your gun might be able to hit 900 fps with them on air.... but after all, your gun IS pretty extreme....Your "Fury" is a wonderful achievement.... but definitely a benchrest gun, no?.... and I say that with all possible respect.... Perhaps Jeremy is thinking of something a bit more compact.... and having a 3-shot mag. for hunting makes sense to me.... I'm thinking possibly the only thing they may share is the bore size, otherwise they may be very different animals.... It makes perfect sense to make a bullet of a weight that you think may suit the FPE of the gun you plan, just as you did.... JMO, of course....Bob
No worries Bob, now that I think of it I might have posted it in some other thread or only in our Finnish forum. You have some work ahead of you for sure Jeremy, those are some impressive goals you have. From 20mm to .257 on a same frame is not going to be easy. Are you planning on using the same valve? Marko
