It's been a long time for the rest of you, Tony, Troy and I, on the other hand, have met to shoot. LOL Seriously, we do need to get a large group together before it gets too hot.  Let's pick a date and let's see if it's workable for most.

What? So you bought a RAW too?
Title: Re: We need to set up a date to shoot.
Post by: Tony Fryery on June 08, 2017, 09:02:44 PM
Nope, Theoben Rapid imported by Beeman and sold as the super 12. Raw wants to much for their guns and I'm a poor fool. Troy told me about two rapids on gun broker and I was bidding on them both till on shot up over my limit.

I think I'm down for some shooting too.  My Bullboss hasn't left it's case since last time I shot with Troy and Tony.  I know, embarrassing...

In my defense, my pistol has become the back door critter gun.  I took out a tree rat yesterday, as a matter of fact.  It just takes up so little space, and is so handy.  Last night I tinkered with it a little, which is the first time in a while.  The little pistol is screaming after some adjustment though.  I was able to hit the 20fpe mark with it on the regulator, so that's cool.

Wow and that's still 177 right? Or did you get a 22?

Yep still .177, and it is cooking with the lighter pellets(over 1000fps).

We're shooting at the landfill today

Great, NOW you say you're shooting...  That would have been good to know yesterday, before I went and picked up concrete to fix my driveway today :(  I got some chipmunks and toads to entomb under the edges of my driveway and carport.  Oh, and the F1 race comes on at 1 too.  You guys kill some targets for me!

I think I can shoot on the 25th too, so that will work for me.

Well, I'll have my rapid tomorrow and hopefully pa can get my scope out to me before next Sunday. But we're on for the 25th. I'd advise you if you have a canopy to bring it. It's getting hot sitting out in the sun.

I got no canopy. PA hasn't shipped my order yet. Fingers crossed.

Hey guys, it's Chad.  Sorry I have been AWOL for quite awhile.  I got into skeet and sporting clays over the last year, but been plinking with my Cricket lately.  Hopefully all are well.  I would like to shoot at landfill in near future.

What is great about being away are the advances in technology.  If you remember I was looking at the Compatto.  Now, I have craving a Brocock Bantam, or an Ataman MR2 Carbine Ultra so I a can shoot off-hand.
Title: Re: We need to set up a date to shoot.
Post by: Rallyshark on June 17, 2017, 02:59:17 AM
I think that Bantam is pretty cool looking!  I'd pick it over the Ataman all day long :)

Post by: Tony Fryery on June 17, 2017, 05:50:43 AM
Downside to the atamam is the fill pressure. 300 bar is hard to fill unless you have a compressor. Rapid showed up Thursday, filled it up yesterday and shot it twice. Its almost quiet as Norm's cricket. Will mount a scope today and shoot some groups with it and see how she does.

Sorry I couldn't make it. Had to meet a guy last minute at 2 pm to sell a powder gun that I have been trying to sell forever on another forum. Dude didn't message me until Sunday morning. Got everything packed in the truck too. The compressor wasn't something I could pick up with one hand.  :o

Hi. I'm Charles.

I live in Columbus, GA and would love to get together with other airgunners. I have a .22 Disco, and hand pump, so not heavily equipped.

A&P Mechanic @ Pratt & Whitney

So howdy!

Sorry I missed the shoot, had to drive to Memphis for a charity golf tourny that my largest customer throws every year. I hope you guys shot better with the airguns than I did with the golf clubs... 8)

Hello Charles! Do you shoot anywhere in town/the county? I have another PCP buddy and we're looking for a local place, not a powder gun range, to shoot. Love to meet up sometime! I'll be happy to take you to the next shoot in Lithonia.

Hey guys, just sent this link by rallyshark... I live in Eufaula al about 35 min south of Columbus. I run expedited cargo so I'm all over but when I'm home, shooting is how I relax. I have 4 guns with a 5th build in the works and would like to get together with some fellow airgunners and shoot.

So are you guys going to do the AGD golf ball challenge when you go shoot?  I think Tony said he want's to do it at 500 yards.  I'm joking!

Tony did mention 150 yards with the golf balls.

Tony did mention 150 yards with the golf balls.

150 yards was the minimum for the challenge.  I haven't followed it very closely, but I saw one video of a guy doing it with an FX Streamline in .22.

150 is the closest you can shoot it, but that's cupcake shooting. I believe we can get 250 with Norm's Hercules.

I knew you'd say that, lol!  When I get the chance to check the accuracy with these piledrivers, the Bullboss may do pretty good at the longer distances, since they should buck the wind pretty well.  It is slinging the heck out of those suckers.

Well, the Piledrivers are a no go at this point.  A 1.25" group at 30 yards ain't gonna cut it.  On the bright side, I apparently won a new prototype Neil Clague LDC :D  Right now, the Barracuda Match is what I'm gonna have to stick with on the long range stuff.

Sorry to hear about the pile drivers, same kind of results I was seeing with the Rabbit Magnum ll. I tried the JSB Beast from the M10 out at 50 yards today, and came away disappointed with them as well. They open up and throw a zinger about every 5 shots in random directions. Peter may have been right about the spiraling. The JSB Monsters are not the cat's meow with the M10 either, but the H&N Baracudas will shoot one ragged hole at 50 yards so like you, I am back to them for my goto pellet for this gun. My P12 likes them as well, so maybe SPA barrels like the H&N pellets.

Who's going to the North Carolina Airgun show on Oct 20th and 21st? I have my room booked, Troy is going and I think Norm is coming too.

I'm going to try it today with my AT44-10 .25, weather permitting, but I'll be doing good to get a few on the target, let alone one on the ball. Maybe I'll get lucky. We'll see.

Have you tried the redesigned .22 Monsters? Supposed to be better.

They are most certainly better in my Bullboss.  I've only shot them at 30 yards, but they were one ragged hole.

I did the Airgun Depot Long Rangers Challenge today in both 150 and 175 yds. Had to do both twice, though, due to noob video foul-ups. The first 175 took a lot of work because of gusty and variable winds. Not strong, but unpredictable. The second 175, in the afternoon, when the wind was better, after learning how to work the manual focus on my camera, took only 8 shots. Talk about luck. Just goes to prove that old axiom that even a blind hog finds an acorn once in a while. Anyway, I didn't get to go for 200, as I only had 4 balls, and I had used them up. Still, provided that AD approves the videos, it will get me into the drawing for the FX Impact. Since I missed on the $3/4 Billion lottery the other day, winning the Impact in the drawing is about the only way I'll ever get one. :-)
