epoxy vs Yellow wood glue

Long story short, Im in the planning stages for some stock building over the winter

Is there a consensus/advantage/disadvantage to using something like Titebond or Elmer's yellow wood glue over a good 2 part epoxy? See alot of wood turners on YT using the yellow stuff, and if its spining at 500 rpm on the lathe, then seems to me it'd be fine for stock building. But Im leaning towards epoxy. based on prior usage....

Dan, I use glue on all of my stocks I have made w/o any problems. Pic below.   Craig

Glue has always performed best on wood for me. Epoxy doesn’t seem to penetrate well enough.

I'll get a fresh bottle of Titebond....

I have had issues n the past not using enough epoxy, and starving the joint... and using too much and the "squeeze out" gets everywhere... even after cleaning it off theres enough left on the wood that the finish wont stick and youve got a "bare spot" in the finish, ruining an otherwise good project...
