MRod Trigger Blade
« on: June 08, 2017, 12:46:19 PM »
Hey Joe, I was asked by Joe B about MRod trigger upgrades. I told him I personally thought the MRod trigger group was a good one. And a little spit and polish makes them even better. But a while back there was a post about a replacement trigger blade someone made. I actually ordered 3 of these. These are still packed up from my recent move and I can't seem to find a reference to them doing a search. Do you know anything about an improved aftermarket trigger blade for the MRod? I need to keep better records.
LOL
Thanks,
D Ez

Hey D Ez,
Correct the Rapid air weapons trigger blade is a drop in replacement that works great with the mrod trigger group.
they are available from RAW here:https://www.rapidairweapons.com/xcart/product.php?productid=17748&cat=256&page=3
It gives a nicer cosmetic feel and moves the trigger blade position back a littler combined with a properly adjusted mrod trigger and its one of my favorite triggers.

Edit: I forgot to add the hole in the RAW trigger blade has to be enlarged to fit in so not exactly a drop in fit,
here's the original thread on it:https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=101394.0

It is a higher quality trigger too, it doesn't break if you breathe hard on it.

Mike

My lesson came a couple of years ago when I sent a rifle to Travis for work. He said the triggers are highly susceptible to shipping damage - more than most because of their mystery metal nature - and he was right....

But even the setback profile of the RAW trigger makes it well worth installing.

now....to the store for mouthwash...

A clean mouth is a good thing and makes the dentist happy.

That is good to know when shipping a Mrod that I assume the action was out of the stock to reduce the cost. In the future I would suggest removing the trigger assy from the action as well to prevent that from occurring and wrap it in some cardboard box of it own inside the box with the action. Never can be to careful or overly padded and protected.
