Has anyone ever used salt to clean their pans? I'll explain, this was taught to me by a scout master, he poured vegetable oil into the pan, turned the heat on to medium then poured in a good amount of kosher salt. Took a paper towel and as the oil warmed up started scouring the pan with the oil and salt mixture. It cleaned the pan lickety split. Then he ran a little water to get the salt out and wiped it dry. back over a low heat and wiped it down with some oil. Done. Took two minutes to clean.Been doing it like that for years.Thanks, Kevin
