Back Room / Re: So....Whatcha Eating?« Last post by hallwoo on Today at 09:23:46 PM »that's right, MSG has been known to give headaches to some people
I've been used to the stuff since 1965, eating the $5 1 gallon tomatoe can pork wonton excess shrimp extract soup with bbq pork slices and green spring onions, mixed with the MSG seasoning , it gives a terrific aroma and great taste , ate it at least once a week but can't get it anymore, those fast food cooks at the Chinese restaurant died off International bodies governing food additives currently consider MSG safe for human consumption as a flavor enhancer. Under normal conditions, humans can metabolize relatively large quantities of glutamate, which is naturally produced in the gut in the course of protein hydrolysis. https://www.google.com/search?q=msg+monosodium+glutamate&rlz=1C1PRFI_enUS1084US1093&oq=msg+mono&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBwgAEAAYgAQyBwgAEAAYgAQyBggBEEUYOTIHCAIQABiABDIHCAMQABiABDIHCAQQABiABDIJCAUQABgKGIAEMggIBhAAGBYYHjIICAcQABgWGB4yCAgIEAAYFhgeMggICRAAGBYYHqgCCLACAQ&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 7
Bargain Gate / Re: How to get a discount on PARD Scopes!« Last post by only1harry on Today at 09:20:34 PM »Yeah, been doing that for awhile. Takes patience though... Yes, the watch list works to your advantage too with some online stores. Unfortunately a lot of online vendors stopped trying to get you back with discounts because Consumer spending has been on the rise since Covid and is at an all time high. It's also why the US stock market recovers so quickly from wars and other bad events, or is only affected very little and bounces right back. As sales revenues continue to rise and corporations are reporting high profits (most are raking in the $$ with unjustified price increases) we are seeing less and less online companies offering decent discounts, and not making it worthwhile for us to log back in to purchase. A "reminder" email that I left something in my cart won't make me push the button. 8
Bargain Gate / Re: How to get a discount on PARD Scopes!« Last post by only1harry on Today at 09:04:17 PM »I have been doing that for a few years now, and wait to see if they send me an email with a coupon or other incentives for me to make the purchase.
It was the Macy's web site that taught me how to do that about 5 years ago, and I still do it with every vendor site and leave stuff in the cart. Every time I would visit the Macy's site (and log in) for clothes, and not even put anything in the cart, I would get an email immediately after I logged off with a 20% or 30% OFF code. If I waited like 12-24 hours, they would sent me a 40% coupon and also something like 10 or 20 bucks off the next purchase etc. After their web site got popular and billions $$ started rolling in from online sales they stopped doing that, and so did many other sites, so today it's kind of rare to find an online store that still does that. I am glad you found one that's using that algorithm to get you back. 9

This makes the 7'th one I've purchased from Jon at Keystone Airguns. So far they all have been a fun enjoyable shooting rifles. For the money they would be very hard to beat. Charles
