User friendly Spring Compressor

The new compressor I made is much easier and faster than my old one. I borrowed the idea from an industrious air gunner showing his wares, I believe he may belong to another forum? Or maybe from here, I dunno. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
I did tweak it a bit to suit me. It's simple, inexpensive, and cheap to fabricate. Setup and speed is greatly improved. Does require a drill, taps(2), vice and hack saw.
Works with all the actions I've tried so far 28-30mm, rail and dovetail. Chicom cheapie scope rings and scrap bin extras..

Thanks Tom. Best of all, a wrench is rarely required, I can quickly twirl the all thread coupler with 3 fingers either direction and final finesse it with index finger and thumb. I may add spokes to the thrust washer side of the coupler to aid in magnum assembly/disassembly. Many ways to refine & improve it but for the hobby dude why bother?

Richard,
I liked your compressor design so much that I just constructed one just like it. While I haven't tried it yet, I see no reason why it shouldn't work great.
Thank's for sharing the idea.

I had a chance to use the spring compressor, but before I did, I replaced the long nut with a threaded knob, which worked perfectly. Once the compressor is mounted on the rifle, no wrenches are needed.
The photo shows it mounted on my Diana 52. Note the cutaway wooden dowel piece to fit the step in the rear assy.
