Good day to all, it is a beautifull day here in the desert for a change. I have a couple of questions for past and present Pro Sport owners. #1 does the scope rail have the scope stop pin holes in the scope rail? Have been looking at alot of pics of this beauty and could not really see any. #2 if not what scope mounts do you use? #3 how is the cocking lever linkage on this rifle? I was reading somewhere that someone had trouble with a pin in the linkage. The cocking lever looks to be aluminum. Hopefully the factory has addressed issues like this. #4 is this rifle really as accurate as its advertisement? I'm looking at the .22 cal. I want to sell a NIB R7 and a NIB R9 both .177 safe queens to fund this purchase. Hopefully it will be worth it. Thanks in advance for any advice and opinions. Semper Fi Joe.

I bought a Pro Sport, walnut, .177 cal. about 2 months ago. I think that it is a fine rifle. It is fairly quiet for it's power and super accurate. The bluing is very nicely polished and the wood is beautiful.
I have had the screw, which attaches the cocking shoe to the sliding compression chamber, work it's way loose several times. I put some blue threadlocker on it, so I'm hoping that will work. So far it is holding. I've heard of others who have had no problems with this screw whatsoever.
I feel that the Pro Sport is a well made, and fine looking air rifle.

Sorry, but I forgot to answer the first two questions.
#1- The grooved receiver does have the stop holes in it.
#2- I use a set of 2-piece Beeman high mounts. The cheekpiece is kind of high in my opinion.

Dean, I don't think that you will be disappointed with the Pro-Sport. I don't think that I can say enough good things about it. My only regret, if I had one, would be that I didn't get one sooner.
Take care, Scott

I have a TX200............the Pro is supposed to be better balanced, not quite as front heavy, so actually feels lighter than the TX.
I might step up tomorrow............maybe,,,lol

Oh, by the way, Semper Fi Joe and Dean, if you have a burning desire for a Pro-Sport, give Bori @ Top Gun Air Guns in Arizona a call . He did have some decent prices.
Take care, Scott

I though about buying the ProSport Last year, but I gave up the idea after reading in a forum about a problem with the cocking lever. The cocking lever does not shut and lock in place after cocking, but stays loose. Some owners reported that the problem got worse with shooting. Not everybody had this problem but if I spend close to $700.00, I do not want to see this happening. I would go with the tx200.
