The TX mainspring has almost zero preload when not cocked, so saying it's under heavy stress makes no sense to me whatsoever. It's about the only springer I know of that truly doesn't need a spring compressor when taking it apart. I'll agree that no spring lasts forever, but if ever a springer was designed for spring longevity, the TX 200 is it. Please site the source for that statement, it's news to me. Thanks.Dave
its will be a month or so down the road. and the old owner already had a vortek in it so it will be a drop in fit
