Here is a Walther LG55 with a 'Kruppelschaft' stock. That's the German word for Cripple stock, which is a bit unkind. It means you can shoot it right handed aiming with your left eye. Walther apparently made some to order. Does anyone else have one?

Welcome to the Forum!
Thanks for posting the pictures, VERY interesting rifle.
Don't know if it is an optical illusion, but your stock seems to have finger grooves in the pistol grip.
IF that was the case, I would think it was a custom alteration.
Cross-eyed stocks were never too popular in Germany because people there learned how to shoot rifles at a very early age. Eye dominance be darned, everyone learned how to shoot and overcome their "infirmities" ("Sieg Heil" and all that).
Cross-eyed stocks were, however, popular in high end English guns. Where well-heeled youngsters were more liable to learn shooting with a shotgun ("Gentleman's Sport" and all that).
If there are no finger grooves in the stock, then you may have a VERY RARE specimen, because manufacturers of old DID make custom guns at their plants, but they were extremely expensive (even more expensive than commissioning a "bespoke" version with a custom house, of which there were MANY back in the days).

Again, thanks for posting, keep well and shoot straight!\

That's an unusual one, for sure.

Thank you, it is wonderful to correspond here with informed enthusiasts.
The stock does have finger grooves. Your observation about that is fascinating. I have seen several English shotguns but no other air rifles with this configuration.
The rifle belonged previously to a knowledgeable collector, the late Frank Korn. He asserted on Vintage Airgun Gallery's 'Down Range' forum that Walther made them as bespoke.
As the model dates from well after the WWII era, it just might perhaps, have been made for their domestic market. Who knows. It does however have the factory lead weight in the forend.

I have been wondering what will happen to the immense Frank Korn collection. I guess I have part of the answer right here.

Walther did offer the Kruppelschaft stocks, and other special-order or short-run stocks back in the day, I've seen a few pop up on eGun, etc. Intended for those whose dominant eye was opposite their strong side of course. The grip details are very interesting - the "normal" LG 55 was checkered of course, but the well-integrated finger grooves, extensive stippling, and small palm shelf on this gun are either factory work or very professionally done. Gorgeous wood, too!
It's good to see one of Frank Korn's carefully curated toys has found a good home!
