mr007s:
I have 4 PCP I shoot at 100 or more yards, all sighted in at 50. Also optically center the scopes on them and mount with Burris adjustable rings. 3 of those rifles have FFP scopes and the turrets are moved up 3.5 on all when shooting at 100, which does surprise me because the are 22,25, and 30 cal.

Thanks Ray, So your sighted in at 50 but turning your turrets 3.5 revolutions up when shooting 100. Not using hold over?
I've got Sightron on both FX with FX No Limit rings. Or will have when the 500 gets here.
When I mounted the No Limit rings on the Boss, I had scope optically centered and was able to put the vertical within a fraction of an inch with ring adjustment. Horizontal was only off maybe an inch at most. Which I corrected with the windage knob.

I only shoot my "regular" sighting (usually 40-50 yards) when I'm shooting NUAH.... However, anyone SERIOUS about it should really resight at 100, so that you can hold on the center to eliminate the effect of rifle cant.... You still have to make sure your scope is installed with the vertical crosshair intersecting the barrel.... but a slight cant to the gun won't throw your shot wildly off to the side like it can when using holdover....

Thanks Bob, maybe I'll bite the bullet and start adjusting the elevation Turret for the 100 yd shots.
I think I'll keep the Boss sighted in at 50 because of the power it's putting out and I rarely shoot it closer. Then mark the turret knob for the 100 yd shots. My bench is at 100 yds and a foot measured with a sports tape just to make sure I'm not cutting any corners. But when I shoot from the back porch, it's 106 yards and that six yards accounts for another whole stadia holdover with the Sightron on 30 power. Crazy!

Maybe keep the Cricket at 28 yds and just crank the turret up for the long shots. And I'll figure the Royale out when she gets here, but probably same as the Cricket.

Hoping to get Dillon back on here when he get's his Mini Raptor ;-)

Thanks again , Fuss

Nice target Ray.

Jimmy, I have the scope on my .30 HMX zeroed at 100 yds, my .25 HMX at 50 and then dial up on the elevation when I shoot 100 with it. Every once in a while for fun I'll shoot my.177 TM at 100 for fun and just use holdover(a lot of it  ;D) as I have that zeroed in at 30 yards. Like Bob said....I also take a lot of care to make sure the vertical cross hairs on the scope intersect the center of the rifle barrel.
