I am considering one of these guns, but have a few questions. How far can this gun shoot accurately. I am looking primarily at target shooting, and was wondering how far out this gun can group with 760 fps. Second, does anyone know how much it would cost to do the HPA conversion if it already has a conversion for a paintball tank? Is this a quality, accurate gun?

Got one in .22. Great german made rifle. Very accurate. Unmodded I can get over 100 shots. Dime size groups at 30 yards are easy. Dustin

Great gun. Accurate to 50yds so far. Dime size. Good for women and children. No cocking. Worth the money. 650 ft/sec 12.5 ft/lbs. More than the gun costs to change to HPA. Go to 850 Forum for the scoop.

I have a .177 and .22. Definitely the nicest CO2 powered rifles. VERY accurate rifles. And yes lots of mods for 'em.

I have one in .177, bone stock, and it is an exceptional rifle. Quality is very good, power is very good and accuracy is simply amazing. Using the 88 gram C02 carts I can get around 150 good shots depending on the weather of course. If you're interested airgundepot just listed refurb .177 850's for $159 bucks. I got mine from them as a refurb for the same price and the gun was flawless and has performed fantastic. Nicest shooting C02 rifle I have.

I have an 850 in .22 that I never shot on co2 i modded it right away. Mine gets about 80 good shots at about 900 fps with 14.3 cps . It will cost allot more to mod the gun than the original purchase price , but you don't have to do it all at once each mod gets you more and more fps. And if you do a little at a time it doesent seem that costly. Check out the 850 resource it has a boat load of good info

I picked up a refurb .17 from Umarex for $130. Modded with Dominator hammer spring, short BA adapter off classifieds, wire modded trigger and flow modded valve. Got HPA tank off ebay for $30. I think I'm into it for less than $200 including a moderator.
I set mine up for sub FAC FT shooting. I get 200 shots at 11.3 FPE (7.9 gr CPL at 805 fps) with a pretty low spread although I still haven't really fine tuned it or broken it in yet. Oh and I got those 200 shots from 3000 PSI to 1000 PSI. I settled in on a shot range of 130 shots from 2100 PSI to 1000 PSI as the sweet spot (shots 45-175 on the chart). I think that is tremendous efficiency.
As to accuracy, the barrels on these are excellent. Very well made rifles and while someone said great for women and children I personally don't think so. Dispite the synthetic stock they are not light rifles. Especially with a big ^&* scope on it like my Nikko Diamond!
I'll have to hunt up some pics of it...

Mine is .22, and it's brilliant. Great barrel, and the cocking/loading mechanism is slick, I've never had a problem with it.
If you can snap one up as a refurb, I'd say jump on it.

I got a .22 when they first came out. It's a solid rifle and you can tell the German engineering right away. Very durable stock which is also scratch resistance it seems. Blueing is also superb as is accuracy. Mine shot 610fps at 72deg. with 14.x when it was stock. Got about 130 power shots but I usually shot around 200 pellets (mostly at birds/pests) until velocity drops in the low 500's. I just have an aftermarket hammer spring in it now and it's shooting 645-652fps very accurately for about 90 "power" shots.

I own one in .177 cal. Overall it's a nice rifle... smooth, nice build quality, but limited to 20-30 yds max.
