Title: Need a Beeman C-1 rear sight
Post by: wakosama on January 15, 2023, 04:08:59 PM
Early model, no safety.  I need/want a rear sight, doesn't have to be OEM.  Actually, I would like something better than the original.  And I could use a better front sight too.  UK parts suppliers are all out of stock.

Has a scope right now that's OK, but I really would like some 'good' adjustable sights.  Tks.

A peep or dovetail-mount blade will probably be the easiest option.
If you're crafty you may be able to adapt another rear sight to the Webley breech mounting holes.
For OEM you can try to get on the "notify me" list from knibbs in the uk, but I'll be surprised if they ever get new inventory.

Good luck!

The Vulcan, Tracker, Viscount, Victor, and other rifles; and the Hurricane pistol; used the same basic OEM open rear sight, which may widen your search field.

But...+1 on what DanD said, the C1 is perfect for a rear-mounted peep sight. With that short barrel it will basically double your sight radius.

If you already have the front sight, I don't know of anything better from Webley at least. If you or someone you know has the skills, cutting 9 mm dovetails at the muzzle would let you mount an Anschutz tunnel or something similar.
