Long story here's the brief version:-
I had an issues with the original pump/forend.
I bought a replacement from John Knibbs International but it wasn't pre drilled to accept the roll pins so it could be fitted.
I tried everyone apart from the candlestick maker no one would touch it,so returned it to Knibbs for exchange. I received no replacement and don't think I had a refund either. I spoke to John Knibbs at a local game fair, he walked off in a "huff"!
Anyway some twenty years later I was fed up of it being in a box in pieces so I bought a lump of American black Walnut of ebay and tried to get someone to hack it into a forend.Again all I got was a load of pulled faces so I did myself!
The valve still had air in it. I only fired it about 100 times, still have the box etc and scope (unused) that came with it.

You did a really nice job on the fore grip.
Now you have a good working shooter.

It's ok to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.
While practicing through my scope, I thought about the "cheek weld". My shooting improved drastically when I discovered it was talking about my face.

Yup.
Nice work....
The honest to goodness 2280 (Model 1) pump handle was NOT predrilled from Crosman.
I recon the philosophy was that it would be easiet rto mate a drilled forearm to the pump arm.
The actual Model 1 forearm from Crosman has NO loles in it, either.
I made a drill jig to locate the holes in the blanks of new forearms.
These match up with the 2200 pump levers.
