I will look into all of these suggestions, as well as 2 scopes that may fit the bill:1. Tasco Air Rifle scope, 4x32 AO. Wire reticle, but intended for springers, warranteed and $40 or so. Being a Bushnell product now, I wonder if it might be worth a roll of the dice. I have to think the glass would be OK, and the product decent all the way around.3-9x40 is only a few $ more, but I'm not sure I want to deal with the added POI variation and mechanical complexity for more magnification on a .25 springer. I really don't plan any 100 yard shots here! Although I'm sure I'll punk around at 50.https://tasco.com/riflescopes/air-rifle-4x32mm-riflescope/2. UTG 4x32 air rifle.scope, no AO but set to 35 yards (that's good IMO) and has some sort of improved internals advertised as "true strength".I have an older one I bought new a couple of years ago, same platform but with AO. The AO ring froze in place (barely any use, never left the house) and even I can't budge it without fearing to snap it. Not impressed, though others seem to have good luck. About double the cost of the Tasco.https://www.leapers.com/utg-true-hunter-4x32-1-scope-mil-dot-airgun-rings-adj-35-yds-scp-u432fd.htmlThanks all!
On another note.... Who scopes a scatter gun? I shoot mine with both eyes open and do quite well on the skeet range.
I have several of these scopes on my magnum brake barrel guns, they stay true. I have bought from this seller many times with no issues in shipping or packaging.https://www.ebay.com/itm/382309855367?epid=691360244&hash=item5903717087:g:g4MAAOSw3KFWegui&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4MkR1N5eQfPl4BF5Sp38K62TGql%2FcW4qBt5AZyMWKZ1s%2BpbOdPVwBNo4rynSiQddNKeTDDXXZD2BHA1gXCqljsDjGwZ0bbKfWXIJnYVYXJqXat%2B1sLCgJpSqCl%2BSUaPLzDlqIiyD%2FNPosvlLPHW%2B%2Bmmzb1i4dQ%2BBXjSMNGq07BE3SE26GVcar%2FZ6nIU0rPoK2ZaYZ51hZgCDfTuJirHB8yCkU0XNl8NgPrU79%2FTv7EX7BwPPLMbCSF9WHAzkEyiIkW6wiXbZnjxV5NlFf3n5Uo8IqFzItphWBbRMyLawuomp%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR4KrkO6CYg[/quotI've had 5 Hammers break.
