Your 19 miles from the seller and you’ve had 2 posts? Who buys a 10 year old a fairly rare vintage rifle? And who would alert other potential buyers they are bidding on a EBay item?
I would pass and get the youngster a new Crosman 1077 or a Daisy 880.

Or, are you just trying to be argumentative?

Tip-off is usually they live near and open new accounts. Just series of odd things here is all. If the poster wants to buy his 10 years old a 80 year old collectable more power to him.

OK, I'm now a little confused here, So... because I live 19 miles from the seller this means I'm somehow now pumping up the bid with a relative. How is that exactly? Also what "New account" are you referring to? My eBay account is over 16 years old, are you referring to the account I opened here at GTA last year? How about this thought Columbo, ...... If you look on eBay, there is an option where you can click "Search within X amount of miles from your zip code" I do this to try to save paying for on shipping. I buy most of my eBay stuff from people within 100 miles of Boston Ma. I've saved hundreds if not thousands on shipping fee's doing this. Yet somehow for this, I'm accused of pumping up bids? WOW... I try to save every penny where ever & whenever I can, As far as putting in the item number .."if that's what you are referring to as well also" I thought about not doing that but the benefit to me outweighed not doing it IKf someone here had a bad dealing with the seller I might be informed as such, as well I wanted you guys to read the description ...I did thinkl Hmm these guys might bid against me, but then I thought are you going to pay more than this pellet gun is worth probably not? So what do I have to lose by posting the item number. So what exactly would I fear by showing you what I'm bidding on? If this Crosman was mine, why wouldn't I just post it in the classified section of this forum? I'm a little confused but a bit more perturbed. Thanks for the honest advise to the well-intending people. I am guilty of something here and I did have a diabolical plan, to be honest. My wife was giving me a hard time about buying this gun for myself, so I told her it would be for our Nephew & she eased up alot... My plan was/is "If I won it. I was going to tell the wife "This thing is wayyy to powerful for him, I'm gonna have to keep it myself". this way I get to buy two new guns and keep the best one for myself. That was my evil plan there "Kojack". Unless she reads this... "looking over my shoulder" The boy would still be able to shoot it "under my careful supervision of course" and someday perhaps even acquire it from me in the meantime. I would keep it and end up buying him a different one. If I won it ..that was my evil plan . However, to pump up the bid for someone else's gun was/is not! Thanks for the great advice
