Benjamin 252 fix up

I got a 252 the other day and it was missing a few parts, the bolt button, safety spring and ball, the hammer spring, and the rear sight. I don't really care to make it look any better just be all there and function as it should. So far I found a spring I had that works very well for the hammer spring (it's just a little stronger than an original), the safety spring and ball, and I made a bolt button or cocking knob out of a knurled brass pipe fitting I had. I have a 132 Bolt Button on the way but I think the diameter will be too small, if it fits good if not the one I made works great and looks pretty good too IMHO.
I have a rear sight on the way too but need the screws yet, the threads for the sight screw are good.
Have a look at my cocking knob/bolt button, I just had to cut one end off the fitting, drilled it to fit the bolt and drilled a hole for the pin, made a pin to fit and Super Glued it in the brass.

The knob actually looks pretty good. Fun little gun, those 252's.

Thanks I thought it came out pretty good,, just doesn't look like an original but it does work just as well! Things like this are why I have never thrown out good hardware, and kept/keep it sorted out so I can find anything I have.

I got a NOS cocking knob and sight today, I have the sight screws coming and then it will be complete again!
The Bolt Button/cocking knob was bright shiny silver so I put in on the silver 257 and put the one that was on it (looks like blued steel) on the 252.
I will keep the brass on I made in case I need it sometime. here's my 3 Ben's. I borrowed the sight off the 257.

I Chorny tested both the 257 and the 252 today at 88 degrees temp. I shot both as fast as I reloaded without rushing.
Both had a new cartridge loaded into them at the same time and I shot the 257 first. I haven't tested them for leak down over time as I do not intend on leaving C02 in them when stored! I suspect they would both lose C02 over time, but I do get between 28 and 33 shots with the 257 per cartridge and 38-43 shots per cartridge with the 252 (it has a different than stock hammer spring in it, just a spring I had).
