Title: Nova Vista "PCP pumper" owners
Post by: airsenal on October 05, 2018, 05:14:43 PM
I know some here have had one or more of these rifles for several months. How's it going? Reliable? Accurate? Any problems? quirks? Tips?

Plan on ordering one soon. Hoping they do a pistol/mini-carbine version too.

I have one I received a week or two ago. No problems so far. I pumped it up to 3000 PSI the first day and left it overnight to check for leaks. Still at 3000 PSI the next day.
Shoots great at 20 yards. I have not had a chance to try it any farther out due to the weather.
I store it at 1000 PSI as instructed and it holds this pressure without any leakage.
I did pull the barrel shroud off and clean it due to seeing many metal filings inside when inspecting the rifle.
Also appears to be minimal or no crown on the barrel. I will do a closer inspection soon.

It is a lot of work to pump up from 1000 PSI to 3000 PSI. Find the sweet spot around 2600 PSI and pump three or four times between shots.

Only idea i had for a carbine design was to have a foldable stock and have that double as the pump arm... fold open/close the back stock to pump it up...
OOh, now THAT's a cool idea ..... hope somebody can make it happen!
Cheers
