When you go on a ratting trip, what happens to the rats? Do you use lead pellets? Is this a form of pest control? I had never heard of ratting until I starting looking into air rifles.

Yes using lead pellets, we leave them where they lie ( it's a friends permission and I follow their lead )Other rats eat them, often we will shoot an area and come back to it 20 mins later and most have been pulled into their burrows. Coyotes eat them also.
