Slick space. Are you having the bearings backed too?

Yes, when I go back to pick the trailer after the service the last thing I do will go over the load equalizer hitch setup process. I just ordered a tongue weight scale to ensure that I do not have the load of the trailer too far forward. I figure the scale is a cheap investment and will go a long way toward preventing unnecessary repair bills.
With all my good friends here in the GTA I will have avoided many of the novice pitfalls. However, rest assured that I will probably end up doing at least one dumb thing the first month on the road. I will make sure to share my Homer Doh moments with all y'all

Just a quick update, I have installed the rubber overload springs, OEM trailer brake controller, and OEM extendable towing mirrors. The RV center that I am bringing the trailer to was booked solid until Nov. 24 so between now and the appointment I will finish cleaning and setting up the trailer the way I feel will be most comfortable once I hit the road. I also picked up a used LEER 6.5ft fiberglass cap for the back of the truck and put all new gaskets to seal to the pickup bed. Once the trailer is serviced and all my legal matters are settled I expect to be hitting the road with my little buddy Dudley.

Outstanding Don, you are making good progress.
You can do a bit of studying-up on "Full Timing" here.
