Mine reminded me of the squeaking door from Disney’s “Sounds of the haunted house” record we had when I was a kid. I’m about 150 shots in to the break in cycle. This gun really needs a lube tune. I’m scheming to adapt my spring compressor to the Hatsan so I can pull it apart. There are multiple threads here on the forum about tuning the Mod 125 and MikeyB and SteveP have covered it several times. I did a poor man’s lube tune by applying a good quality grease to the spring through the cocking slot with a detail paintbrush. It addressed the worst of the creaking and twanging but it still sounds mighty rough compared to my vortex Mod 125. I’m planning to order a Vortek piston seal before I do the lube tune and de-bur.
BTW I blame you Steve for getting me started on .25 caliber. Been lusting for this .25 cal Mod 125 since I got the Striker from you.
