I've recently repaired a PCP that someone used silica beads/gel in their inline filter. A few small cracked pieces escaped and got jammed up in the gun. While it's a great idea, and it does work -- just be mindful that smaller pieces can end up in your gun if you're not careful.
This is what I use in my second filter, works well and has color-changing beads to tell when it needs to be dried again.https://www.ebay.com/itm/303197392846?hash=item4697f90fce:g:CDcAAOSwnDJbTL5F

Only thing is I wonder if they can be regenerated....at that price I hope so
To clarify a little bit, when I first bought this Msorb sieve three years ago it was $35 from Amazon, but the price has gone way up since that time. I haven't used enough of it in three years time to need to dry it yet, I just store it in an empty jar with a good lid. When I do dry it, I understand I need to place it in an oven at 400* for one hour and then seal it in an airtight jar until I need to use it.
Yes, 600 F under vaccum will activate MS. They are shipped wet for safety reasons and will not work straight from the container. The eBay MS are ann inactivated so very little absorption will occur. There is a LOT of information on MS online but very few people know about the UN shipping regs on MS.

Could probably shorten the time in a vacuum as well if you know anyone that has a vacuum furnace hah.13xMS is what I'm using .I picked mine up from amazon but probably irrelevant.

Were yours shipped in a bag? Than they were indeed wet.
