Not that I could even afford to make such a purchase but, I think, even if I were to get my hands on a minty Super Grade I would have to shoot it. I am not a collector. I like owning and shooting the classics. The only thing I have that has never been used and is slightly considered collectable is a Zippo Lighter / Case Knife set. It is in an oak case made like a book. From what I understand is that 1500 of them were made to commemoratre the merge of the two companies. Mine is marked 1 of 1500. I do not know if that means it is the first one made or if it is just one of the 1500 made. It is called the Pocket Worn collection and I've never used either peice.

It's not a sealed display case. It looks like a hard bound book made of oak and opens like a book. Inside is felt and the lighter and knife are fitted in. Both are red (pocket worn) bone encased. The knife has never been carried, sharpened or used and the lighter has never had fluid in it or lit. The wick is pure white cotton. It's displayed (open) on a corner hutch in our home with other (Harley and knives) trinkets. Classic air guns are not the only things that have found a home with us.
How much did he sell it for. I noticed the Reserve was not met on the auction?
It sold for $1650
If I had so much money that I could pay whatever it took to get an unfired, NOS Silver Streak without even noticing the loss, I would probably do so. Then I would take some photos of it in its unfired beauty just before taking it out and putting thousands of shots through it. I would hunt with it, plink with it, probably even get a few scratches in the stock. In short, I would pretend I was a kid who just got it for Christmas.Eventually I would probably give it to one of my grandkids and find another one to do the same with.
