Mouse or a Vole?

I tried re-zeroing my scope yesterday with the scopecam attached. I also finally got around to putting out one of the trail cams on the other side of the yard. There had been a lot of activity there a few months back. When I viewed the footage this morning there was a lot of activity, so I decided to move my solar lights and DD'er to that side of the house. I also figured I had better re-zero the scope again as it's closer to 25yds, and I was zeroed at less than 20yds.
Fast forward to this afternoon and I'm looking out the patio door and I see a critter. I grab the FX Wildcat, slide the door open, acquire the target, squeeze the trigger and nothing. I had pulled the magazine out to reload after checking it over the chronograph finally today. She's slinging CPHP .22cal 14.3 grains at 932fps for almost 28fpe. I grabbed the magazine, inserted, and went back to the door. It's still sitting there. I turned on the camera, got on target again, and missed. Yeah, I forgot I was shooting an inch high at 25, so when I re-zeroed I was shooting and inch low at 20yds.
Still not a great video, but hopefully no one gets seasick watching this one.

I can't say for certain, but the Voles I have (had?) were very skiddish. They'd run out from their hide out, staying close to walls, grab a piece of food, then immediately take off back to their hide to nibble and repeat... But that kind of looked like a smaller vole to me. But I'm no rodentia aficionado either
Whatever it was, I'm sure you'll get 'em next time

Thanks Zack! Yeah, I'm no expert either. These guys normally stay at the corners of the backstop or up under the ledge. They make me think they are trying to avoid raptors. I haven't seen any of them at night at this bait station. However, the other side of the house next to the shed I saw lots of activity last night on the trail cam. They peek out, run out and grab a seed or two, and run back into the shed. I don't know if the red lights are spooking them or not. I guess I'll find out tonight after either the DD'er goes off or the pics tomorrow morning.

Thanks Dave. I think it's a vole, but it doesn't really matter. It's a dead vermin!

Hard to tell. I froze it when he jumped after the shot and the tail looked kind of long, so it might be a field mouse. Couldn't say for sure though. Dave is the vole expert. He has shot a lot of them.

Thanks Randall and Harry! When I dispatch the next one I'll lay out a tape measure and we can get a better idea...
