Montana airgun shooters ?
«

Hi,
Just thought I'd start a new topic, see who's in the area, and see if anyone is interested in airgun shooting fun ?
I pretty much cover an area from Butte to Helena in my business, and a lot of my clients have Prarie Dog, and Ground Squirrel problems, ( they call em Gophers in this country)
I'm surprised to see there isn't much advertised interest in air gunning around here.
Plinking and target shooting is actually cheap and its a lot of fun,,,, I sure wish we had what a lot of other states have when it comes to shows , fun shoots, and competitions.
If you are an airgunner, that would like to talk airguns, or do a little shooting, please reply.

Howdy, Fella's..I've been out of state for a couple of years now, but looking to move back in the early spring.
Since I've been gone, I got married and also "inflicted" with the air gunning "disease" (now have 18 & counting)....absolutely love it, and my bride is also getting to enjoy it as well... and has several of her own, including a .22 cal Discovery, which I've scoped and done some "fine tuning" to, for her.
Anyway, would love to stay in touch with anyone or all of you for some future shooting times together... will possibly be locating either in the Lewistown - Great Falls region, or somewhere between Missoula - Kalispell or Missoula - Thompson Falls.... wherever, traveling to go shoot with fellow air gunners would not be an issue. Hope to hear from any or all of you, there in my home state of MT. Take Care. Jim

Howdy John,
Thanks for your reply... great to hear from a fellow Montanan. Plinking is always fun.... and I also have a "small"
collection of steel "reactionary" targets, as well as paper setups... to use as well, so will look forward to the possibility of getting together for a shoot in the spring, and see what happens from there. Yes, stay in touch. Thanks again, John.

I'm not in the immediate area, but I'd love to come over for a fun shoot day(plinking/clean up vermin).
Eventually we would like to move up around Flathead so I don't need much of an excuse to come over and survey the land. Only been in Montana a few times, but I love it!
Most of my buddies think air guns are "cute". It would be nice to spend a day shooting with guys/gals that are into them. Although I do like my powder burners as well.

So I guess that I need to do a better job proof reading my posts.
It would be great to meet up with fellow Airgunners from Montana,
There are a few of us up here is Glasgow, and the fishing is not bad either.

Dusty!
greetings from Bozeman
I too shared your "surprise" there isn't more airgunnign around here.....
Basially its because of favorable firearm laws and lots of wide open public lands to shoot on. factor in the "magnumitis" many of us shooters have and the belief that we are shooting bbguns....
Pete Berube in Hamilton has a couple of bench rest matches there over the summer. I'm trying to get a field target club going. But if you need a partner to go whack gophers, lemme know

Yea Old Post BUT-
Racer1-
And any other High country Air Launchers
Yes it isn't the same out here as the low lands and big cities.
Lot of land between places.
I'm in Idaho Falls, but do make it to Salmon once in a while.
Steelhead fishing and FoosBall @ Whiskey Willys
When I can, some years are better than others.
I just figured you all might want to know, THAT -
“PANSAL Spring Break” {See their Site},
"
http://www.pansalairgun.com/home
"
The BIGGEST thing to do about/with AirGuns
This side of the USA !!!
Is every Year in late April or Early May,
(This year May 3-5 2019)
Over by Boise ,
"in the desert BLM land of southwestern Idaho, (near Caldwell)"
Again, I'm going to try to get there, { Still haven't made it there }
"some years are better than others"
And this one hasn't got to me yet,
But last year did very much,
{%$#@& S10 Blazer, deside'n to wash its self in the River}
There is still about 6 weeks to go so
maybe just maybe
I'll get one of my rigs running well enough to make it there, (and back)
if not then, I'll just go west a little bit, [10-17 miles]
and let the lead launch !
{And set up a Measured 100 yard spot}
Then I'll see if a "phone book" can stop a ball,
from getting thru it better than 50 yards can't do.
