Air fill sation question
«
on:
March 03, 2011, 02:59:52 PM »
Ok spending money that I really shouldn't, but I'm getting a tank and fill station. The guy I'm getting it from uses it for paintball. He THINKS it's a k valve.
My question is do I need any other attachments, hose.....
Do I need a separate valve to put on the tank, to make the fill station on?
Is the fill station just for filling the tank?

buy a used steel high pressure 3550psi tank $150 from scuba shop. buy a k-valve fill station from ebay for $19. din valve fill station are $29. comes with female nipple adapter. you can fill your paintball tank and PCP rifle like marauder. If you have other makes like BSA or FX, then you'll need to buy the male nipple adaptor with female 1/4" thread to fit.

Before you buy anything DNG make sure you can get it filled and that the tank itself is still within its useful life and has an up-to-date hydro. Don't spend money "that you shouldn't" on something that you are not 100% sure will work for you. Ask us any questions you have and there will be someone on here who can answer. Eddielee has a great suggestion as long as you have a scuba shop close by. It stinks that the firefighters scba fell through on you. Keep researching and you will find something that is available to you that will work.
We're here for ya'.

Thank you, it is a scuba 80cf ( with 2000 psi in it ) he has resent hydro, and VIP, he just happen to use it for paintball
He The fill sation, needs a hose, I'm going to see if the one on the hand pump ( benji) is thread comparable --- threw more research I found that some of the pump hose are pressed and some are threaded
Fingers crossed! And the disco still hasn't hit my door step so, I'm crossing my toes to
What purpose does the DIN serve?

There's 2 different fittings used on scuba tanks; one is the k-valve and the other is the DIN and you need to know which one your tank has before getting the fittings. If he already has the fill station fittings for it, you probably won't need to buy a fitting other than whatever will fit your gun. If the disco, you will need the female Foster Quick Disconnect which is sold by many of the airgun vendors.

Hi..
Scuba tanks have 3 types of valve on them..
K valve being the most common..square top & O-ring for
a clamp on 1st stage or in your case fill station.
J valve.... same as the K valve apart from it has a
500psi reserve valve built in...You can pic them as they
have a lever on the side....( NOT COMMON ANY MORE )
DIN.... the DIN fitting is mainly used for twin tank rigs...So a
manifold can be screwed in to connect 2 tanks togeather..
