I just read your post.  Two months late isn't too bad, is it?  I mean, for southern Monroe County it isn't too bad.  You must be in Lawrence County, right?

I am living in Bloomington at the moment and I have been pulling my hair out trying to find a decent place to go and shoot.  So, if you want to invite me down some day, I will make some extra effort and we can get together.  I have found a number of places on the Internet where a person can download images for paper targets and print them off on a home computer printer.  I have tried this several times and it is not the best solution, especially if a person uses regular letter paper.  If the printer would handle a heavier stock, then it might work OK.  Otherwise, I have taken to saving cereal boxes and pizza boxes and stuff like that and then I glue the paper target onto that cardboard.  So far, that has been OK. 

Now that I think of it, you could be in Heltonville or maybe over near Johnny's Junction.  In any case, you can IM me or send a private message.  We'll meet up somewhere.

The boss says we could do something as early as late July or August. We both have been spread pretty thin with her parents health issues and closing their place down so thats about as early as I can make it happen. So, looking onto my little crystal ball I say we make it......drum roll please......Saturday, August 15. I am usually up by 4:30 am so if you wanna come have coffee, go for it! Setting a date I know will work for some, some it won't...so there it is as far as a "let's all get together date" I know I got 4 or 5 guys that will come. Invite a friend or a youngster to come with you.

Now, we all know it'll be hotter than the blue blazes of H. E. double hockey sticks at that time, always is. So, having said, we have an option of moving it out to cooler weather but that won't be until late Sept or into Oct so I say we just put it on the calendar and do it.

I have 6 of the Gamo knockdown FT type targets, may be able to get a few more before then. I'll start working on some other type of targets as well.

Have a shelter house with a working toilet so thats covered. Thinking we can burn some burgers and dogs on the grill for lunch as well. If you have a pop up canopy that would be good too.

I would like to jump in here and offer to bring some more grey hair.  And, since I am of the grey hair persuasion, I don't have a whole lot of events on my social calendar, other than to get the batteries recharged on my Pacemaker.  So, count me in.  I'll be there.  Just tell me when and where and ... that'l be it for me. 

I have met another guy from Greenwood who calls himself Rock.  I'll pass this along to him and maybe you two Greenwood guys could come together.  Plus, I am looking forward to meeting the peeps from across the border in Illinois.  If you have not yet applied for your Indiana visitor permit with the airgun endorsement, just send me $20 and I'll take care of it for you. 

I am embarrassed to say that something like this is sooo overdo I can't believe it.  I am really looking forward to getting together, even if it turns out to be bad weather and we can't shoot anyway.  I will still be there.

This is what I like to see, and what the GTA is all about. Making friends and sharing great times.
I looked at the GTA members map, and see that a few of you guys are on it, but some are not.
 I also see that there are quite a few other members in your area too.

 Bman, we set up the map for this very reason. For members to be able to find each other and get together.
 Click on the link in my signature.
Use the "additions" tab, and place your own markers on the map.

 (3 Important hints)-

1- for your own privacy and security, do not put your marker at your exact address. put your marker a couple of miles from your home. place it at a shopping center, public park, or whatever. just as long as it is in the general area of where your are, it will serve the purpose you seek.
 (remember, the map is publicly accessable)

2- MAKE SURE YOU USE YOUR GTA SCREEN NAME FOR YOUR MARKER !, not your real name.
 (This is because you will need to use the GTA "members search" function to find and send PM's to each other)

3- Feel free to copy/paste the red writing and link to your own GTA signatures.
 (this way, whenever you make a post on the forums, you will be helping to promote the map, and helping other AG shooters to get together for more fun times)

 Who knows,... you just MIGHT find and meet some of the best folks around ! 
 I know it has worked for many of us already. I have the best group of shooting buddies a guy could ask for.
 We found each other by using the MEMBERS MAP.
 Otherwise, we may have never met !

Ok guys, It's official from work. We are going to 6-10 hour days for the next 1-1/2 to 2 months. That puts the date selected undoable for me. That's construction...feast or famine. That moves it out to late September/early October. I'll look a little deeper into it over the next week or 2 and try to get a hard date setup. Truly sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Hey guys,

Been meaning to chime in here for awhile. Great idea and I would love to attend, but the original date wasn’t doable as it conflicts with a huge airgun show and shoot in and around Kalamazoo over that weekend. (Friday-Sunday). I’ve got a sister that resides only 10- 15 minutes away and I’ve been anxious to try out that premiere "airgun only range”  that just opened last year. No doubt most of you know of, or have heard of it.
