marauder... for that price you can get a really nice setup. and remember that it does not matter if it is not perfect from the factory. It is very easy to work on and modify. In.22 cal. if not i'll recommend a talon SS in .20. flawless and inexpensive. about the same than the marauder, just easier to adjust. a bit more expensive would be a falcon Cs in .22. Enough said. I have a falcon R (rifle version ) in .177 and it is boring accurate out to 100 yards (and mine is adjusted to shoot 10.6 jsb at 710 fps.).

Jorge, greetings brother.
"if you had 1500 what direction would you go including pump or tank"
If I had 1500$ to go pcp, I would probably look at the Air Arms S510 Xtra FAC Sidelever PCP from Precision which is going to go around 1000$ which would leave 500$ for scope and filling equipment. This gun and the FX Royale are at the top of my list. The Marauder would be (and is) a great gun if you had only 750$ to spend but at twice the amount the s510 would be my choice.
Now if I already had the filling equipment, then the Royale would be my choice to spend $1500!
For the s510 look at:
http://www.precisionairgunsandsupplies.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=AAS510
For the Royale look at:
http://www.precisionairgunsandsupplies.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=FXRoyale400
Of course, please let us know what you decide.
joe

I love my Mrod .22.I did develop a leak after about 10 months having the gun,but crosman fixed it for free and fast.I havnt done a lot of long range shooting, but at 50 yards and in you cant miss with these guns.I shoot 40 yards in my yard and it is effortless to shoot ragged one hole groups.Find what pellet your gun like and stay with it,and you will see what the marauder can do.
GOOD LUCK!!

I have my eyes on the FX whisper $699 with the new imporvements.
http://www.precisionairgunsandsupplies.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=FXWhisper/2
always wondering if other guns are better.
.22 dynamax- great tactical accurate BSA gun, but no gauge, loud w/o ldc
.25 marauder too heavy but accurate
.177 marauder accurate only with heavy pellets at 10.5g or more.
.22 marauder that not worthy on accuracy.

I would also wait if you are getting the marauder since they are coming out with new stock.

i have been eying the fx whisper also for over a year already and i like it very much then came the rainstorm that me and gene liked very much but i think he bought his while i kept spending money foolishly instead of going to higher end ags ....if i do buy rthe marauder it will be from mac1 which is just a little more but well worth it ....i like the blue laminated stock eddie nice ...airarms s510 is awsome and the fx royale ...talon ss was one i always wanted and i spoke to jeff about it on many occasions but i guess i didnt think straight ...if i purchase a talon it will be from tony cause even though the wait is long its well worth every cent cause selling them always keeps its value not like other ags ...whatever i decide on i will post on the forum ..the beman falcon another fine pcp that i know i would enjoy ...im headed to cobra airguns in march 26 & 27 with a friend and member the gta whom will help me make a fine choice....thanks for all responses ..

I went with an AA S510 in .25 and couldn't be happier. It is amazingly accurate and well crafted.

My vote would be for the Tallon SS or Condor in .22
You will get the range and accuracy you are looking for, but also have the option to change the barrel length and caliber if you so choose. Now you can get a mod that allows you to shoot 325grain arrows @400 fps! check out tagdagger screen name or his site.
I find the possibilities, greater with the Airforce platform.
The extra money can be spent on a shoebox, 4.5k 88cf tank, extra tank, different barrels, mods, chronograph, and most important......alot of pellets.
I'd fire My PCP MORE, if I had the shoebox, a place that filled my 3k scuba tank that was closer, or I had a 4.5k tank. These items aren't cheap, without them, shooting is limited.

this mind is made up talon ss to go from tony 30fpe 800fps plus ,34 inch in lenth ..comes in case with a leapers 4x12 mini swat ...fullly tuned ..price would be about 1100.00or the talon ss shorty .25 to go lenth 42 inch with 16 inch barrel pushing kodiaks at around 820fps with 46 fpe price about 1500.00... waiting period is a few months which gives enough time to get my 44cuin tank with hoses ....i have always loved these ags and now it my time ....jeff get ready buddy cause im coming to your town lol...my name is on the list for shoebox but i would have to get the 4500psi box for the talonss and a 44cuinch tank with adapters and hoses but ill talk to joe branco im hoping i dont pay no more than 2300.00 for everthing ...jorge

You made a fine choice Jorge. My 18" barreled Talon and my Condor are 2 awesome rifles, you're going to love that "SS" buddy.

I've just recently got the AG bug & went with an AA-S510. Basically, the gun, scope & BKL-301 rings with one tin of pellets came in at $1,500. I won't offer advice since I'm still getting my arms around air as a propellant but the S510 is definitely 1st rate in fit and finish... IMO.

I thought the AA 510's had an ambidextrous stock? Is your custom?
