Congrats on your new rifle. As far as recommending a scope it would help to know what your primary use of the rifle is going to be.... hunting ?? target shooting ?? both Also, what is your price range for the scope ? With that info it'll be much easier to recommend a scope. That being said.... a decent "all around" scope that will perform well for target shooting as well as small game hunting and pest control is the Leapers 3x9x32 Adjustable Objective scope that www.opticsplanet.com sells for around $50 bucks with shipping included. I have quite a few of these scopes and they've all held up great and performed well. I'm sure others will chime in with their suggestions..... Jeff
The Nova is a rifle that I have been curious about. I don't know much about it but it sure is pretty. Please let use know how you like it. With a cocking effort of 36 lbs. I'm guessing that it has some kick so make sure that whatever you choose can handle it. In your price range I like the Centerpoint Adventure Class 4-16x40AO with illuminated reticle. This scope currently resides on my "go to rifle", the RWS 34 Panther and has performed extremely well. At 18.8 ounces it is light for a 4-16x40, it has 3.9 inches of eye relief, and is adjustable down to 5 yards. Also, the adjusting turrets are a joy to use. I do agree with longislandhunter though, if you want something for under $50 I like the Leapers Golden Image 3-9x32AO. Make sure to use a 1 piece mount and most important, clean all the screws and screw holes on the mount with alcohol, use Blue Loctite on the screws and (here's the hardest part) let it cure over night before you shoot it.
Don't count my answer for too much. But I have a Leapers 3-9x40 AO and I can't saya bad thing about it. Nicely made, quality product as far as I'm concerned. I think youwill be happy with this.Let us know your decision.Good luck!
What scope rings did you order? Also, like I said, I don't know much about the Nova, what made you choose it?
