Home-made target holders
cactusrat:
Thought I would share this with the group.
I made these about four years ago and still have many more years of live in them.
Here is a list of materials:
¾ inch metal electrical pipe.
¼ inch all thread, 24 inches long.
¼ inch nuts - 18 ea (4 target holder) or 12 (2 target holder.
¼ inch washers 12 (4 target holder) or 8 (2 target holder.
The build;
Step 1; Drill a hole threw the pipe a little bit bigger than the all thread about one inch from the end of the pipe. This will be the top of the target holder.
Sept 2; Screw a nut onto the all thread until it is about in the middle of the all threw. Put a washer on next to the nut. Push the all thread threw the holes in the pipe so that the washer is next to the pipe.
Step 3; Put a washer on the all thread so that it is on the other side of the pipe. Thread another nut on the all thread until it is tight against the pipe.
Step 4; Carefully measure with a pieces of 8x10 paper or what ever size your targets are and mark the pipe. It is better to have holes a little closer together than it is to have them to far apart.
Drill a hole threw the pipe at the mark and repeat steps 2 & 3.
Step 4; tighten the nuts next to the pipe so that the all thread is even on both sides.
Step 5; Put two nut on each end of the all thread with a washer in between them and tighten them so they are jammed together. This helps the paper clips from siding off.
Cut the pipe to whatever lengths you want your targets above the ground.
I even put a few spinners and a goat bell on some of my target stands. Paintballs and cherry tomatoes will sit nicely on top of the pipe.
